How a flatbed scanner works

I took apart an older HP scanner. I had to see how it worked. As the scanner head moves across the glass plate, mirrors and a lens focuses a strip on the image onto a 1 x 600 pixel image sensor about 1/4 of the width of the scanner bed.

The Sensor from My First Digital Camera

Canon A300


My Canon A300 was my Maui camera in 2005 - which was also my Canon T90's last holiday... But I'll never get rid of the T90 as long as it still works!
